After acid etching, the parts can be stone washed, aluminum washed, copper washed, or brass washed.
Aluminum Wash
This finish looks very similar to regular stone washing, but the aluminum wash process isn’t as abrasive. This leaves the black parts very black and makes the “specks” very defined.
Copper Wash
The copper wash creates a unique contrast, but IMHO it doesn’t match every color of liners. So, be sure to consider this when designing your custom.
Brass Wash
The “specks” on the brass wash are much finer and make a gold-speckled appearance.
