My Core EDC

My updated core EDC

I call this my core EDC because this is literally what I have on person every day as long as I am not in my pajamas. This is not enough to survive the end of the world, but it gives me the basics.

I try to keep it compact, because if you are not comfortable carrying your EDC you will end up not carrying it.

From left to right:

  • Casio G-Shock 9300 - https://amzn.to/3ojXwfe
    I
chose this wristwatch over the ocean of options because it has solar charging, this means that I won’t have to charge or replace the battery any time soon. Beside the usual watch functions, this watch has a thermometer and compass. The compass is an awesome feature for survival, both urban and wilderness.

  • True Utility FireStash - https://amzn.to/2MntnxW
    This
is a peanut lighter. This part of my EDC has come in handy many times, even though I do not smoke. I have tried a couple of different types of compact keychain lighters and chose this one because it does not leak lighter fluid.

  • True Utility CashStash - https://amzn.to/3phNPiG
    The
CashStash is self explanatory, it is a capsule used to hold a single rolled-up bill. It is emergency cash. This is nice to have when you are in the store at the check out and realize that you left your wallet at home.

  • Modified Victorinox Minichamp - https://amzn.to/3iEK58p
    Having
a compact tool to back up my main tool is a choice that I went back and forth on. I ended up really liking it though. The tool set of the Minichamp is much smaller in size than the Leatherman that it backs up, so if I need to work on something smaller in size this tool really works great. I modified this knife to have a Spyderco blade.

  • Nitecore TIP 360 - https://amzn.to/3sQybNe
    I
carried this flashlight for quite a while. But ended up swapping it out for a Rovyvon a5x because the Rovyvon was brighter and has more features. Carrying a flashlight is essential in my opinion.

  • Leatherman Tread - https://amzn.to/2MkDxzo
    This
tool bracelet took lots of getting used to. It is heavy and really cold in the winter. The “29 features” are usable, but not the best. The coolest thing about this multitool is that it is TSA approved. I have flown with this Leatherman Tread internationally several times without any complications.

  • Leatherman Charge Ti - https://amzn.to/3qL6Zxr
This multitool is by far the most used part of my EDC. I am constantly fixing something or opening packages and this tool combines all of the basics that I need. Watch my full review on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIL77DkhWbk
