Custom 91mm spring for adding a Spyderco Dragonfly 2
*Modder’s part. This spring is not a “plug and play” spring. Requires modifications to the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 blade and possibly to the spring itself.
**Not recommended for acid etching. This stainless steel alloy etches much darker than original Victorinox parts, so I do not recommend it for acid etched projects.
1. This is a custom spring for 91mm Spydernox conversions. The spring is specially designed for adding a Spyderco Dragonfly 2 blade to a 91mm Swiss Army Knife.
2. The pivot bore on the Dragonfly will need to be peened in and re-drilled out to 2.6mm. And the back of the Dragonfly (near the pivot bore) will need to be ground down a bit. The success will be determined by your skills. Overpeening, Dragonfly pivot bore modifications, and Dragonfly shape can all affect the end result. In short, I am NOT responsible for any failed Spyderco blade swaps. By buying this spring, you take FULL responsibility for any damage to your knives. I do NOT provide any guarantee that your Spyderco blade swap will be successful.
3. Obviously, you are voiding any warranty your knives have from their original makers. Proceed responsibly.
4. For installation, be sure to grind off the back part of the Dragonfly. If you do not remove this section of the knife, you can bend your spring and lose tension.
